🎯
Approach
Making political science relevant, not abstract
I want students to see the direct line between what they read in a textbook and what's unfolding in the news, a foreign policy decision, an election, a shift in international relations.
📰
Methods
Current news and case studies as teaching tools
When students connect a concept like deterrence or interest-group influence to something happening in the world right now, the material stops feeling like something to memorize and starts feeling like something to think through.
🧠
Goals
Critical thinking students carry beyond the classroom
I hope students leave not just knowing political science facts, but able to look at a headline and ask why it happened, who it affects, and what comes next.
